Um, wow, January seriously flew by! The month of L.O.V.E. will be here in no time, so I wanted to share this cute little project I came up with and give you plenty of time to make it before Feb 1st. {And FYI Part 2 of the sugar series will continue next week!}
You can make this “Why I Love You Jar” for your sweetheart, friend or any loved one you’d like. It’s a really fun project, and just think how warm and fuzzy your loved one will feel, which is the best gift you can give;) {Dark chocolate is a close second though!}
Alright, ready? Let’s get arts & craftsy…
What you need:
- Valentine’s Day Jar {I got mine at Socially Write. It was originally filled with candy. You can find a cute pre-made jar like I did or make your own using a mason jar and adding a pretty red ribbon.}
- Shades of pink, red & purple card stock {got mine at Hobby Lobby}
- Scissors
- Heart cookie cutter
- Pen & black marker
- Valentine’s Day confetti {I used hearts & lips}
Next: Using your pen & cookie cutter, trace your heart. You’ll want to make 28 hearts…one for each day in February!
Cut out those cute little hearts.
Use your black marker to write what you love about your sweets. Then fold the hearts in half before placing in jar.
Fill jar with confetti. I filled most at the bottom but left a good amount to sprinkle into the jar once it was filled with the hearts.
There you have it! The “Why I Love You Jar”! All ready to be given on Feb 1st with a new heart to open each day of the month.
If you make this love jar {which I hope you do, you’ll feel like a kid again!}, please share a pic with me!
I’d love to see it! Just share on my Facebook page, Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest! How about we make our own hashtag for this little jar too;) Make sure to include this hashtag so I don’t miss it – #loveyoujar
