Santa's Spiked Hot Cocoa

Homemade, dairy-free, vegan and spiked!  What could be better to treat Santa Claus with than Spiked Hot Cocoa?  Made with raw cacao which is basically raw chocolate and a superfood. So, side note…chocolate IS good for you!

And instead of being loaded with refined sugar like most hot chocolates, this has a gentle natural sweetener.  This will help keep Santa slim and trim, and tipsy!

You can also make this hot cocoa without alcohol if you want a non-alcoholic, delicious homemade hot chocolate.  Or you can also experiment with another favorite type of liquor.

1½ tbsp cacao powder
1 can organic coconut milk

Directions:

  1. Blend coconut milk, cacao powder, syrup, vanilla and cinnamon in Vitamix for 3-4 minutes on high, which makes the mixture hot.  If you don’t have a Vitamix, no worries, just first blend ingredients together in blender and then heat the mixture on the stove over medium heat.
  2. Pour the hot cocoa into your favorite Santa mug.
  3. Add in whiskey and stir.
  4. Optional: Top with marshmallows, organic candy cane, and cinnamon.
  5. Set out with some homemade cookies for Santa!
