Making your own bath soaks at home is simple, inexpensive and so much fun! Not to mention they are pure and natural with no dyes or extra chemicals, and you know all the ingredients you’re adding in.
These 4 DIY Summer Bath Soaks will help you relax, de-stress, ease tension and sore muscles, soothe sunburns or bug bites, and moisturize summer skin. Fresh citrus peels, dried lavender and strawberry powder are some of the unique ingredients making these perfect for summer. Not to mention a milk bath using goat milk. This will leave your skin extra soft and make you feel like a queen, side note: it’s been said that Cleopatra used to bathe in goat milk! You can also make these for birthday gifts or a sweet “just because it’s summer” gift for your best friends.
Milk + Honey
- 1.5 cups whole powdered goat milk
- 1 cup oat flour
- 10+ drops almond oil
- 5 tbsp raw honey
Directions:
- Blend rolled oats in blender, turning them into fine oat flour.
- In a mixing bowl, add the powdered goat milk and oat flour and mix.
- Stir in the almond oil and honey, and mix really well.
Invigorating Citrus Soak
- 1 cup Epsom salt
- ½ cup baking soda
- 3 drops lemon essential oil
- 3 drops orange essential oil
- 1 tbsp grated lemon peel
- 1 tbsp grated lime peel
- 1 tbsp grated orange peel
Directions:
- In a mixing bowl, mix together Epsom salt and baking soda.
- Stir in drops of oils.
- Using a cheese grater, grate the peels of a lemon, lime and orange.
- Stir in citrus peels.
Bedtime Lavender Soak
- 1 cup Epsom salt
- ½ cup baking soda
- ½ cup fine pink Himalayan sea salt
- 3 drops lavender essential oil
- ¼ cup dried lavender buds
Directions:
- In a mixing bowl, mix together Epsom salt, baking soda and pink sea salt.
- Stir in drops of oil.
- Stir in dried lavender and mix well.
Soothing Strawberry Soak
- 1 cup Epsom salt
- ½ cup baking soda
- 1 bag unsweetened & unsulfured freeze-dried strawberries
Directions:
- In a mixing bowl, mix together Epsom salt and baking soda.
- Blend freeze-dried strawberries until it becomes a powder.
- Stir in ½ cup of the strawberry powder and mix well.
